food pantry
The Lighthouse Food Pantry is a part of Harbor Impact Ministries services available each month. Notice our walk-in freezer obtained through a grant from the Food Bank of Michigan. It is pictured on the opening page of the website.
Stone Soup Food Pantry of Lapeer blesses us each month with fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, and miscellaneous nonperishables. Monthly food purchases are made from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. We depend on the generous gifts of churches, organizations and individual donors to pay for the food that is purchased from the Food Bank of East Michigan to feed the hungry. |
harbor library
Books, books, and more books, from children's to fiction to reference to cookbooks to non-fiction to inspirational and magazines. Puzzles, music, and VHS/DVD movies galore are also available for all ages. With the support of our generous donors and the hours of service given, the Harbor is now known for its outstanding library.
health care
Health care support is provided by a Nurse Practitioner, including blood pressure testing, health counseling, incontinence products and provision of certain medical supplies.
Bonnie Landshoot is "Chief Medical Officer" of the Harbor. Our chief medical officer will also determine the eligibility of our guests to participate as Special Needs guests.
Our special needs guests will then be served at 11:15 A.M. until noon on scheduled Tuesday Impact Days.

Peg's pets
Margaret Jeanne "PEG" Noecker loved life, her family and all animals, but especially those that needed extra attention. She rehabilitated animals with physical and emotional problems. Upon her untimely death, her family wanted to continue her animal advocacy. Nothing made more sense than the development of Peg's Pets, a program to keep beloved pets in the homes of struggling families.
Each month on listed Impact Days, food and accessories will be available to pet owners. In emergencies, resources are available on other days by calling (810) 982-5312. Your donations to Peg's Pets are tax deductible. Checks should be made out to Harbor Impact Ministries/Peg's Pets. |
